We will read a passage of Biblical scripture one day without it having any spiritual or practical application to our lives. Then suddenly as we are reviewing the same content at a later date, God opens our spiritual eyes so that new light and revelation pierce through the darkness of our understanding.

Luke 24:45
Then he (Jesus) opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.

The Bible tells us that if we ask, it will be given to us. If we seek, we will find. If we knock, the door will be opened. Consider asking God to enlighten your understanding of the Scriptures by opening your mind to what he wants to reveal to you today. He has something special tucked away in his living word, the Bible, for each of us.

Isaiah 64:4
Since ancient times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any God besides you, who acts on behalf of those who wait for him.

Luke 24:49
I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

When waiting for good things from God to happen in my life, there are a few things that I do. First, I continually bring my request before him in prayer. I also try to live my life as the Bible instructs by seeking the Lords kingdom first. If I am truly trying to die to myself and live for Christ, I know that I am in the will of God. This makes the process of waiting easier. Romans chapter eight verse 28 says: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” God suddenly shows up in great ways in our lives when we keep trusting him and waiting for his perfect timing to make things happen. When we keep our focus on loving the Lord with all of our heart, soul, and strength he will lead us.
