In the Christian’s world, what does it mean when people say things like God’s grace was upon me. Grace is God s ability given to us and placed upon us. You are saved by it, which means that there is nothing you can do to earn your salvation; it is a gift from God. It is what God has finished for you. I have also seen that the disciples prayed that God’s grace would be added to one another often. The bible says at hand there is a gift of grace, just like there is a gift of faith, leadership, encouragement and others. As we depend on God completely for His ability( grace) to operate through us, then we look to his power working through us, and we no longer have to consider simply our own ability but that God is working through us. That is where the power to overcome difficulties and furthermore to minister to others is descovered. I can accomplish all things through Christ who strengthens me.

1Cor. 15:10
But by the grace of God I am what I am: And his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: Yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Once we get God’s grace upon us and working through us, we will be used to to touch many peoples lives. When we experience the reality of his grace working through us, we will never again wonder what it means to have it upon us.

If you ask me, joy out-ranks despair any day! A smile is much better than a frown. Laughter is more desirable than a growl. A spiritual song in my heart is more pleasant than a grumble. A word of encouragement beats a critical word and a positive is more soothing than a negative.

Nehemiah 8:10
“Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

John 15:9-11
“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.”

Experiencing the fullness of God’s joy requires spending time with him and trusting him with everything in our lives. By remaining in him and obeying his commands we will experience the fullness of his joy. Living a life dedicated to God is where true joy is found.

There is a joy that is unexplainable when we enter into a relationship with Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit. Although this new-found joy is like nothing we have ever experienced before, eventually circumstances in our lives begin to choke it out.

Life can be extremely tough at times, but God has promised to never leave us. If you’re feeling as though your smile has been broken, ask God to restore the joy of his salvation into your spirit.

Psalm 51:12
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Psalms 23:3
He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

God has renewed my joy on countless occasions when I have felt as though life had broken my renewed spirit. If you’re feeling down, God is the author of an unspeakable joy. Ask him to restore the joy of your salvation. He loves you and will do it because a heavenly father’s love is great toward his children.

There’s really only one thing that can separate us from God and that is sin. The separation is always temporary if God’s seed remains in you. If you’re born again, then the following verses are amazing expressions of God’s love towards you.

John 10:27
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”
1 John 3:9
No one who is born of God will continue to sin because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning because he has been born of God.

There are thousands of expressions in the Bible that demonstrate how much Jesus and God love us. One scripture declares that nothing can separate us from his love and another teaches us that God is working all things for the good in our lives if we love him.

Today, just know that God is not mad at you. He loves you, is on your side and is working all things for your good.

John 15:9-11
As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

Fullness of joy is found in the presence of the Lord. When we remain connected to him through prayer, worship, walking in obedience, reading the word and fellowshipping with other Christians, we can experience a level of joy that the world cannot give to us. Jesus refers to it as, “My joy” in our scripture. Therefore, it is a different kind than what the world offers.

Remaining in God seems to be the key to experiencing greater measures of his joy. Psalms 16:11 says: “In your presence is fullness of joy; At your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Today, consider setting aside some additional time for the Lord and set the purpose in your heart to find a place within his presence where an abundance of joy may be found.
