As Christians, and humans, it is perfectly normal to feel less than perfect at times. It is normal to feel sad, and feel hopeless. It is normal to feel alone, and that nobody is by our side. Whenever you feel that way, however, take comfort in this bible verse from Isaiah 41:10:

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

God is always by our side, and at our best and worst of times, we need to remember that. Let this verse be a comfort to you and your loved ones for years to come.

Have you been maintaing your relationship with God and spiritual health well. It’s vital to the life of a Christian. When our heart is hurting, and we are upset, we must protect our heart. For God has deposited spiritual truths in us for the objective of us relating them others. Yes, through you God can bring an hopeful word to someone.

Start with prayer, this gives God authorization to help us. The bible says let not your heart be troubled but put your trust in God. Keep the focus on Jesus rather than the upsetting circumstances, as best as you can, this helps in maintaning good spiritual health. He has said (Jesus), He will in no way leave or forsake us.

Communication comes after that because wisdom, at times, is discovered in the council of others. It is lovely to reason things out every now and then, being watchful to not gossip or condemn. Keep a guard on your spirit today and safeguard the call God has placed on your life.

Prov 23: 20-23
My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh. Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that you guard, for out of it flows the springs of life.

If we can remain in good spiritual health by guarding our hearts and remaining in God’s word, our life as a Christian will shine brightly to all those around us.

Now matter what is going on in your life today, the Lord is near to you. He has promised to never leave you nor forsake you. He loves you very much.

Psalm 145:18-20
The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.

Trust God with your life today… all of it. Take a moment to just acknowledge his faithfulness and recall the times when He has revealed himself in real ways. He will never let you go.

Everyone who is great at doing anything has spent a lot of time practicing. Growing strong in the things of God is going to take a commitment to living in His ways. Swimmers who have won gold medals in the Olympics received the highest achievement reward because of their commitment to training. When you learned how to ride a bicycle it took a lot of practice to get good at keeping your balance. The same principles apply to increasing in spiritual strength.

Luke 6:47-49
” I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.”

If we regularly practice the things that the Lord has taught us and continues to teach us, eventually we will get stronger in the ways of God. Our ability to stand strong in faith will increase as we continue to live a lifestyle of believing that God can do the impossible.

I recently heard a great message where the speaker said that it takes twenty-one days to break a habit. There are things that we must do in order to get stronger in God. We must read our Bible, pray and spend a lot of quality time with Him. If you haven’t been growing stronger in God, consider making a commitment today to do things differently for the next twenty-one days of your life.

We will find many keys in the Bible that will open the doors of blessing. Having a blessed life mainly comes from seeking after the things of God on a daily basis. Jesus told us to seek the Kingdom of God first. The blessings which come from God are a direct result of loving the Lord, your God, with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength.

Psalms 1:1-2
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked nor stand in the way of sinners nor sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.

Do you spend time in prayer daily? Do you read God’s word regularly?

Is worshiping God something that you do each day?

So how do we have a blessed life?

Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. That’s the key to having a blessed life. Consider making some changes in your routine so that you can spend some quality time with the Lord delighting in Him even more than you already are.
