Dream Believe Then Receive What God Put In Your Heart

This devotional is one that Joel Osteen wrote. I am a subscriber to their email service. This teaching on believing for what God has put in our hearts is really good.

“I know God’s given you dreams — He’s put them on your heart in a way you can’t deny. You may not have told anyone. You may have thought it was too big to happen.

But I want you to realize that God hasn’t given up on those dreams and you don’t have to either.

I’ve never heard of one story where God gave a dream and fulfilled it on the same day.

God has designed life with seasons and processes — each step along the way does something unique that builds our faith and causes us to step out and trust Him.

God came to Abraham in Genesis 12 and promised not just to bless him, but to bless ALL the people of the earth through Him. In Genesis 15 Abraham is struggling to believe these incredible promises so God does something amazing that I want you to notice.

“Then the Lord took Abram outside and said to him, ‘Look up into the sky and count the stars if you can. That’s how many descendants you will have!’ ” (Genesis 15:5 NLT)

God wasn’t just making promises to Abraham — He was teaching him how to dream. God knew if Abraham could see it…then he could dream it.

And just like He called Abraham to look up and see it — He’s making that same promise to you today.

God wants to teach you the same process He taught Abraham under that beautiful star-filled sky.

First you dream it…Then you believe it…Then you live it…

The first step is to get a vision. The next step is to trust Him. Then finally you take a step of faith and live out what God has promised, no matter what your circumstances, your friends, your worries or the enemy is telling you.

Victoria and I want you to know that God loves you generously and abundantly, and as a loving Father, He’s impressed and honored when His children dream bold, supernatural dreams. I believe we bless God when we dream big.

Remember, it’s never too late for God to move in your life. Step out in faith today!”

How to Effectively Bear God’s Spiritual Fruits

In order to do good works for God, we must bear much delicious spiritual fruit. How can we bear fruit? The answer is simple, we remain in Jesus.

John 15:1-4 (Jesus speaking)

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

Consider keeping conscious contact with the Lord today by communicating with him regularly. Include him in everything that you are doing (unless you are doing things that Jesus would not enjoy being a part of.) Remember He is a Holy God.

Receive and Know the Knowledge of God

If we are to receive anything from God, we must be willing to hear his voice and learn how to know when he is speaking to us. The knowledge of God comes to us in many ways. We can hear his voice through reading the Bible and by interacting with fellow Christians. On many occasions in the scriptures we see God giving people directions through dreams, visions and visitations from angels.

2 Corinthians 10:5
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Once we understand what God requires from us or the direction that he is leading us in, we must stand firm upon the knowledge that he has shared with us. Thoughts will attempt to pursued us otherwise, but we must not forget the instruction that we have received from the Lord when opposing thoughts enter our minds. We have to take them captive, not be moved from our position and force them to line up with God’s will for our lives.

Been With Jesus?

Time with Jesus

When we have been with Jesus it is recognizable. The Holy Spirit within us brings a comforting presence to those around us. Our smile is seen as not just an ordinary smile, but one that releases joy. Compassion flows through us and people can tell that we have been with Jesus. Take time to be with Jesus, make time to pray and read God’s word today.

Acts 4:13
When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.

Today’s Daily Devotion

John 14:12
I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

I believe that Jesus is telling the truth. I am not afraid to pray for healing because that is what Jesus did and healing occurred. I am not fearful of telling people that God is alive and real. Jesus did and many believed. You and I are the result of others sharing about God’s love and goodness. I choose to put my faith and hope in the words Jesus has said, he said we would do what he did, so blind eyes and deaf ears become opened at our command. Don’t be afraid to pray for miracles, there is a better chance of miracles happening when we pray than when we do not.

Prayer: God help me to become more like Jesus. Take away fear and fill me with faith and boldness. Place a special grace upon my life to win souls for your kingdom.

Thought: If one person came to Christ today because of your boldness, how many others might make it to heaven?
