How To Trust In God-The Lord Reigns

How can we build our trust and faith in God? Even the disciples who walked with Jesus had difficulty trusting God, and they had seen Jesus perform mighty miracles.

It’s been my experience that the more I read God’s word, pray and seek to know him, the easier it is to trust the Lord. Jesus reveals himself when we seek the Lord first in our lives.

This whole thing works like a close friendship. It takes time to develop a solid friendship and know that you can trust someone. The same applies to having a relationship with God.

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

The more he reveals himself to us, the easier it is to trust him. When we have a few supernatural events occur that only God could have done, then it becomes easier to have faith during rough times.

Once a few prayers are answered, we realize that God is listening.

Basically, it all comes down to just making a decision to put our lives into God’s hands and trust that the Lord is working things out. It’s just a split second decision to believe or not believe that the Lord reigns.

The Lord Causes Us To Triumph

What happens when we put the Lord first in our lives? He causes us to triumph. There are many reasons for this and only God knows them all.

It has been my experience that when the Lord does some thing great it happens out of His love for me. It is simply his divine favor lavished on my life. As I purpose to follow Jesus daily, things have a way of working out in God’s timing.

2 Corinthians 2:14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.

As the scripture declares, we become misted with the aroma of God. This happens in order for us to be a testimony to those around us. As the Lord causes us to triumph, people around us get to see the mighty things that only God could have made happen in our lives.

Trust the Lord today. He always causes us to triumph. In Romans 8 we read that God is working “all” things for good. Be steadfast in your faith; he has promised to finish what he started in your life. Place your hope in God and watch the supernatural become a reality in order for you to be the fragrance of Christ to those around you.

Moving From Despair To Faith By Hoping In God

I absolutely cannot stand the heaviness that accompanies despair. I despise feeling hopeless. I am discontent when I am experiencing feelings of worry and doubt. Let me testify that the word of God has the power to change attitudes in an instant.

Psalms 42:

¹¹ Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.

Today when I read “put your hope in God” instantly there was supernatural faith given to me to let go of a troublesome situation. The despair I’d been experiencing was gone in an instant as I made a decision to put my hope in God.

Will you join me today in trusting God with all of life’s difficulties?

Faith To Believe God Can Help My Situation

Have you ever noticed how God works so quickly in our lives. In one moment we can be discouraged and in the next filled with faith. That is what happened to me when I read these verses:

Psalms 95
3 For the LORD is the great God,
the great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth,
and the mountain peaks belong to him.
5 The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.

It was verse five that penetrated through the despair I was experiencing. In an instant, when I imagined how large the sea is and how many creatures the Lord created in it, I was filled with faith.

My little problem seems so small in relation to how magnificent God is. I mean he created the sea and I’m fretting over something so much smaller than that. Surely he is capable of helping me if I can only have faith.

I got faith this morning through reading the word of God. I really believe he can help with my little problem now. I pray that you are filled with faith today too!

What Has God Said?

Without faith, the Bible says that it is impossible to please God. Jesus on many occasions told people that God had acted on their behalf because of their faith. He made statements like, “You of little faith” and “Receive your sight, your faith has healed you.” God has said that faith is very important.

Luke 6:46
“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord’ and do not do what I say?”

Mark 11:22
“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered.

Matthew 14:31
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith, he said, why did you doubt?”

If we are going to live a life dedicated to God, then we must walk in the things that God has said. Will you choose to be a faith -walker today? He is faithful; trust Him today with every area of your life and the peace of God will guard your heart and mind. Give Him your worries because he cares for you.
