Come near to God and he will come near to you.
One of the quickest ways to draw near to God is through prayer. Getting close to him happens when we purpose to pursue the places where he dwells. Jesus withdrew from the crowds often to lonely places to pray.
Sin separates us from the Lord. We are reunited with God and he comes closer to us, by repenting from wrongs that we have done and asking for forgiveness. We are able to come boldly before his throne (face-to-face with him) and receive mercy and grace in our time of need.
The Bible says that the Lord inhabits the praises of his people, Psalms 22:3 KJV. We enter into a place where God draws near to us, by spending time praising him.
By reading God’s word he will speak to us. Drawing near to his voice in this way is an easy way of getting close to him.

I love to get close to God while I am on my knees. This is where I am able to focus on him better than any where else.
