James 5:13
Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray.
I don’t think it gets any clearer than the simplicity of this verse, pray. Persistence in trusting God is the way to get through times of trouble.
When we are new at trusting the Lord, we can sometimes be tossed about by situations that bring trouble into our lives. Through time, as we become close friends with the Lord, we learn that he will never leave us. In the middle of the biggest messes, he suddenly speaks peace to the situations and they become calm. As we grow in knowing a little about how God does things, dealing with difficult people and situations becomes easier because we know he is with us and working for us. If trouble is knocking on your door today, pray. God is listening and in his time will reveal himself in the situation that you’re dealing with.
